The prime consideration when selecting an immersion heater to heat water is water quality. This will affect the choice of element material and element watts density. The quality of tap water can vary considerably from soft water to very hard or aggressive water. Additives may be added to water in certain applications, for example, sterilising chemicals. Where additives are present or the water is considered to be very hard or aggressive it is advisable to contact our technical department. Sould the application involve heating sea water we would request that you contact our technical department.
